Scarborough City Cab takes a great deal of care to provide specially trained drivers with many years of driving experience in Toronto. They know the best and fastest routes. Each driver takes a refresher training course every year and is supported by route supervisors and dispatchers. All our accessible vehicle drivers have completed the City of Toronto approved Accessible Vehicle Training Program

All Operators Have:

  • Vehicle for Hire License
  • Previous commercial driving experience
  • Clean driving abstracts updated annually
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening clearance
  • Training in safe mobility-aid securement procedures

Accessible Vehicle Training Program


Scarborough City Cab is one of the select companies that are certified by the City of Toronto to train Vehicle for Hire (VfH) drivers to operate accessible taxi cabs. Training courses take place once a month or custom courses can be arranged at any time for three or more participants.
